This weekend, Gaga has surpassed the 5.7 million followers. At the time of writing, it had 5,743,189 followers on Twitter. Britney Spears had on her side 5,704,237. A few days ago, two young women were nose to nose.
In a video posted on the Web, Gaga has expressed her joy. “Hi world! Here Lady Gaga, Queen of Twitter. I wanted to thank all those cute little monsters who follow me (on this site). Thank you for the opportunity to begin my reign as queen of Twitter,” she said.
She also promised not to engage in pranks and other shenanigans on this medium as do several celebrities.
