The stars are investing in health. While Sheryl Crow has just opened a center for breast cancer screening in Los Angeles, Sandra Bullock is funding a care center in New Orleans.
Five years after Hurricane Katrina, the actress has managed to raise $ 700,000 to build a care center in the heart of one of the high schools of New Orleans. An initiative made possible through the generous support of donors.
Happy to have been able to complete this project, Sandra Bullock visited the school on Sunday in front of Warren Esaton Charter High School to inaugurate the clinic. And on that occasion, the Oscar winner told a hundred people who made the trip:
“We are here to celebrate a birthday and even though it may be difficult for some, I chose to focus on word ‘celebrate’. Sometimes tragedies bring out the best in people, and are one of the reasons why we are in this school today.”
And if Sandra Bullock was all invested in this mission, because she knows this region of the United States. In fact, she owns a house and her little boy’s adopted seven months, Louis, was born. Two important reasons that prompted the actress to mobilize for the region of heart.
