Angry fans blast Ashlee Simpson

Ashlee Simpson was accused of being hypocritical by her angry fans. Ashlee Simpson while speaking to Marie Claire in its July 2006 issue has blamed Hollywood for its biased views on feminine beauty. She said to have 'had it with Hollywood's twisted view of feminine beauty'. She then went ahead and had a nose job done before the magazine hit the stands.

Readers of Marie Claire saw hypocrisy in her statement and her nose job. They began venting their ire on Ashlee Simpson for her hypocritical statement. Hundreds and thousands of angry letters poured in at the magazine blasting Ashlee Simpson. The editor of the magazine surprised by the response to her statement expanded the letters section accommodating more angry fans. Ashlee Simpson responding to the angry fan mail said that the nose job was a personal choice; while her father Joe Simpson said, "There was a real problem with her breathing and that was cured."
