The Artist seems to go to the Oscars. The film has already win two awards in the US, the best film and best Director for Michel Hazanavicius.
In his presentation at the Cannes film festival, The Artist had already sensation, to the point that Jean Dujardin received the award for the best actor for his role of George Valentin, the star of the silent films of the 1920s, confronted to the appearance of talking films and the sudden fame of his friend Peppy Miller (embodied by Berenice Bejo).
Seeing the film and the welcome reserved by the French in this small UFO created by Michel Hazanavicius, Harvey Weinstein, famous producer in the United States, had vowed to make a large critical and commercial success across the Atlantic. And seems well party since its first appearance in America, The Artist harvesting all the votes and the rewards were soon to appear.
