The music magazine Billboard has revealed that the singer’s flagship group Black Eyed Peas, Fergie, will receive the award for Woman of the Year, on 2 December in New York.
“I am very honored and pleased to receive this award from the woman of the year. Be distinguished by Billboard is a nice recognition,” she confessed. The young woman, and more musical projects with the Black Eye Peas and her solo albums, the launch of her perfume and her acting career, is involved in various associations including the awareness of the fight against breast cancer.
This young woman full of vitality and an amazing creative amply deserves this award by Bill Werde, chief of Billboard. He explained this choice: “Fergie has arrived in the middle when it was the worst for the music industry. Despite that, she stood out and today we are delighted to honor the career and countless successes. Fergie is a unique artist who has great business sense, a style which is fantastic and dedication to others.
